Local architect wins award for ‘Most Innovative Practice in West London’.

Paul Vick architects has been awarded ‘Most Innovative Architecture Firm in West London 2016’ by Build News.

The practice has a 100% planning permission and over 100 planning permissions on new and listed buildings and in conservation areas because of a particular approach that welcomes challenge and innovation.

The practice is known locally for its involvement over a period of time with St Paul’s Knightsbridge and has undertaken a number of commission commercially and with private residences across the area.

Paul Vick participates in the annual 10x10 charity event providing assistance for shelter abroad by producing a painting for auction alongside well-known names like fashion designer Paul Smith, sculptor Anthony Gormley and architect Lord Foster. As a Freeman and Liveryman of the City of London he supports their charities and recently drove sheep across London Bridge as part of the Freemen of the City’s renewed traditional event.

'We want to provide a deeper experience of what architecture can be.  We aim to make our projects relevant for longer. We identify where value lies for our clients’ life and work now and in the future and work with clients to create an architecture that delivers this cultural transformation.  As well as being a very engaging way to work, it improves our clients’ assets in both the short and long term,' Paul Vick says in response to the award. ‘Thank you to our clients and all our supporters.’

The judges commented: ‘The judging panel deemed Paul Vick architects head and shoulders above the competition.

‘Their reputation within the industry is stellar and the precision with which the firm go about their projects is second to none despite being only 9 years old.  The entire portfolio of work (both public and private) was believed worthy of recognition, which is why we felt they were deserving of a title that was not specific to one project but the firm as a whole.

‘The firm’s research was also taken into account.  Overall we found Paul Vick architects extremely impressive and worthy of praise,’ they said.
